 January 19, 2010 - The Laredo Broncos announced that field manager Ricardo Cuevas will not return for the 2010 season. A new field manager should be named by next month as the Broncos enter their 5th season in the ULB.
General Manager Jose Melendez commented on the following, "Cuevas is a great teacher and a great person to be around. I really enjoyed my time working with him as we became very good friends but a decision had to be made and I felt that we need to raise the stakes for 2010 and a new direction is what the Broncos need. I look forward to working with Coach Cuevas in the near future in other endeavors and I wish him nothing but the best."
The Broncos expect to name a new field manager by February 15th and several big names are in consideration. |
